Police have apprehended four juveniles for murdering a 17-year-old youth, who allegedly used to harass the sister of one of the accused, in outer Delhi's Kanjhawla area. The youth's body was found tied to a chair in a locked house, and there were sharp injury marks on the neck.

The matter came to light on Friday at 11.55 pm, when the police were informed about the body in a house in the Ladpur village of the area. The body was tied to a chair with wire. The deceased was later identified as Jatin. The body had large, sharp injury marks on the right side of the neck, besides other injuries.

According to the cops, during investigation, members of the Delhi Police's Eyes and Ears Scheme were also roped in to develop local intelligence. "The probe revealed the role of a group of juveniles, who were friends with the deceased. Police teams were deployed, and after strenuous effort and technical surveillance, four were apprehended," a senior police officer said.

Their interrogation revealed that the group, including Jatin, used to consume drugs together. Jatin also used to harass the sister of one of the accused, and had been warned against doing that several times.

"On Friday, all four juveniles planned to teach a lesson to Jatin and took him to a secluded spot on the pretext of consuming drugs. One of them then took out a big knife used for cutting meat, and stabbed Jatin on the right side of his neck. The weapon of the offence was also recovered from their possession," the officer said.
