Dadar family's dream of turning their small construction business into a big set up, crashed when their 24-year-old son, who had just cleared his civil engineering exams, died after being attacked by four men in southeast Delhi.
The attackers tried to snatch the deceased's valuables at a secluded stretch near Tughlakabad on Saturday evening. Senior police officers informed that three people have been arrested and the hunt for the fourth accused is on.
According to the police and family, the deceased, identified as Naresh Kumar Dadar, a resident of Trilokpuri, used to help his father with the business as he had just finished his civil engineering exams. The incident took place around 8:30 pm when the victim after returning from work was meeting his girlfriend at a park near the ruins of Tughlakabad, and fell victim to a group of robbers.
Lokesh, Naresh's elder brother told DNA that the police initially did not tell them what had happened. "It was not before 3 am that we came to know what exactly happened. My brother's girlfriend has told us that they were attacked by these men," said Lokesh, who is into mobile phone wholesale business.
Lokesh added that Naresh was the only hope of the family that has three sons and a daughter."Our father had to struggle a lot. I also started a business to support my family and Naresh also so that we could educate him as much as he wanted and fulfill his desires to become an engineer. He also wanted to join our father's construction business to take it to new heights. Naresh was the only highly qualified member of the family and we had many hopes from him. With him, our hopes have died too. Family members have not eaten anything since yesterday and everybody is in a state of shock," he narrated.
DCP southeast, Chinmoy Biswal, had earlier said that they were working non-stop on tracing the murderers.
