Two teenagers were killed and five others injured after a Honda City car skid and fell off a flyover in Punjabi Bagh area of west Delhi on Monday morning.

According to DNA, the students that included two girls were from Delhi Institute of Professional Studies Research Centre located at Sector 25 of Rohini. They were scheduled to appear for their Second Semester Examinations at IP College in Nerala.

They had assembled at East Punjabi Bagh at the House of one of the students, Rajat, who was also driving the car (Licence Number DL7 CF 9336).

As per reports in Hindustan Times, the car was at high speed and toppled after the student at the wheel failed to control it. The car first skid and then crashed against the divider. It flung in the air on impact and fell off the flyover breaking the grille. It landed upside down on the ground and two of the students died on the spot.  It took the police over 15 minutes to pull the students out as the car was completely damaged.

The deceased have been identified as Sanchit (18) and Ritu (18). The five others – namely Rajat, Rishab, Pranav, Grima, and Raja are in critical condition and have been admitted to AIIMS.
