A 14-year-old boy was reportedly stabbed to death by two of his friends after a minor argument on Wednesday night. The incident was reported from south-east Delhi's Govindpuri area. The police have apprehended the juvenile accused.

According to the police, the incident took place in lane number 12 in the Navjeevan Camp area. On the day of the incident, the deceased, Mohammad Wasim, returned from school and went off to sleep. Then around 6pm, he woke up and told his parents that he was going to meet his friends and will be back in sometime.

After he did not return home for over five hours, his parents panicked and started looking for him. One of the locals then informed them that Wasim was lying in a park in a pool of blood. They reached the location and rushed him to nearby hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.

During the initial probe, it came to the fore that Wasim's father was not happy with his company. He believed that the teen's friends were all pickpocketers and were having a negative influence on him. In fact, following an altercation over the matter, Wasim had left his home in September, 2016. He returned home in December. Despite his father repeated warnings, he continued to mingle with his old friends.
