Virat Kohli is not only the leader of the Indian cricket team but also an ambassador of the sport worldwide. The Indian skipper recently shot a video message welcoming the new entrants to the exclusive Test cricket club- Afghanistan. Afghanistan Cricket Board’s (ACB) twitter handle posted a video of Kohli congratulating the Afghan cricketers for their success and ahead of their Test cricket debut.
In the message, Kohli wished the Afghanistan cricket team good luck for their future endeavours. Kohli also gave some advice to the Afghan cricketers in the video. He asked them to stay true their nature, trust in their ability and work hard for their goals. He felt that there is passion in these cricketers and also advised them to learn from cricketers but never follow anyone blindly.

ACB and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have had good relations between them. Afghanistan cricketers have played their international and domestic matches in the Greater Noida. Some days ago India's external affaris minister Sushma Swaraj has cited the Afghanistan cricket team as an example of Afghan people's great spirit.
Afghanistan, with Ireland, have been given the Test status recently by International Cricket Council (ICC). Former Australian cricketer Dean Jones has been appointed as the interim head coach of the team a couple of days ago. Afghanistan will be going up against Hong Kong in the ICC Intercontinental Cup match at the Mission Road Cricket Ground, Mong Kok starting October 20.
