Ex-New Zealand international Brendon McCullum on Sunday praised compatriot, England Skipper Eoin Morgan and New Zealand captain Kane Williamson ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 final at Lord's in London.

McCullum guided the Kiwis to the 2015 World Cup Final and in a social media post on Twitter and Instagram called both Morgan and Williamson as two fine gentlemen. He further conveyed his fondness for both.

"Two very fine gentlemen. Much love for them both," Brendon's post read.

It took England 27 years to reach the ICC Cricket World Cup Final. Failing to do so on three previous occasions - in 1992, 1987 and 1979.

Under the new captaincy of Eoin Morgan, the English squad believes in being more aggressive, scoring highest possible runs and formulating threatening bouncers with commendable pace.

The Kiwis are set to play their second consecutive World Cup final, previously defeating the table-toppers India in the semifinal.

The Lord's Cricket Ground is set to witness a first-time winner, a country that has never won the coveted World Cup before.
