Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) Committee of Administrators (CoA) on Saturday congratulated the Indian Women Cricket team on registering an emphatic win against New Zealand and booking a semi-final berth in the ongoing ICC Women's Cricket World Cup.

CoA chairman Vinod Rai said, "I want to extend my heartiest congratulations to Team India's on staging a remarkable comeback in the ICC World Cup. The team can be very proud of what they have achieved."

Rai also congratulated skipper Mithali Raj, for scoring a match-winning hundred against the Kiwis in the must-win game. "This victory will go a long way in boosting our team's confidence with the ICC World Cup title in sight," he added.

Member of CoA Diana Edulji said, "This is a result of Team India dedicated effort, which has translated into a series of successful performances. I am pleased with the kind of comeback the team has staged in the tournament. A special mention to Mithali Raj, Harmanpreet Kaur, Veda Krishnamurthy and Rajeshwari Gayakwad for displaying scintillating performances in a crunch game."

The CoA also wished the team good luck for their semi-final match against Australia on July 20.
