Team India captain Virat Kohli and head coach Ravi Shastri addressed the media ahead of the squad's departure to South Africa for the all-important tour.

Asked how difficult it would be to switch back to cricket, considering his marriage celebrations with actor Anushka Sharma over the past couple of weeks, Kohli said it wouldn't be a factor at all.

"I was away for something much more important. This has been a period that will always remain special for the both of us," he said. "Switching back to cricket won't be difficult at all because it's in my blood. Like it is for every other team member and the team management.

"It's not like I've not been doing anything in the past three weeks. Obviously I've been training for South Africa. Somewhere in your head you're always thinking about the important thing that's coming up. Subconsciously you're always looking forward to it, so mentally I'm very well prepared."

India has never won a series in South Afirca. The skipper, however, insisted that the team isn't looking to prove anything to anyone. "We are not going out there to prove something to someone, we are just going out there to play cricket and give 100% for the country," he said.

Kohli's sentiments were echoed by Shastri: "The boys are really looking forward to it, we know it is going to be a huge challenge"
