Remember, when Saeed Ajmal and Shoaib Malik had terrible mix-up and dropped an easy catch during ICC Champions League 2017. The video of that catch drop went viral.
Since then, most of us have seen this video and it had made almost everyone laugh.
While there have been plenty of funny dropped catches, but this mix-up between Pakistan's Saeed Ajmal and Shoaib Malik was of epic proportions. The video of the moment went viral soon.

And even India's top players also had a laught about it- with none other than Malik himself.
Shoaib Malik recently revealed why he, Indian captain Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, and Azhar Ali were seen laughing during the post-match presentation of the Champions Trophy 2017. Malik revealed that they laughing over that dropped catch.
Pakistan had set a target of 274 for West Indies and could have handed the West Indies their first blow on just 8 runs and it was none other than Chris Gayle to hand that opportunity. Gayle skied a ball and both Malik and Ajmal took positions under the ball. However, no one got even a touch as it landed in no-mans land.
It looked like Ajmal was ready to take the catch so Malik withdrew. However, at the last moment Ajmal sat down and let the catch drop.
Shoaib Malik, in the latest episode of ‘Voice of Cricket’ hosted by Zainab Abbas, revealed that after the final Kohli asked him about the catch.
According to Malik, Kohli asked him what transpired between the two fielders and what Ajmal said Malik after the goof-up.
“Catch to khair gir gaya us waqt. Woh tha bhi Chris Gayle ka catch. Aur woh hame peet bhi rahe the. Main usko kaha, ‘yaar! aapne joh yeh position banayi, ki mein catch karne laga hu, toh aap phir haath kyun peeche kar liye?, (The catch was dropped- that too of Chris Gayle. He was hitting us too. So I asked him when you took the position to take the catch, why did you withdrew?)” Malik said.
Malik continued “Woh kheta hai, mein aapke neeche iss liye baitha hua tha ki agar aap se catch chhot jayi, toh mein use neech se pakad lu. (He said I sat down under you so if you drop the catch I will catch from beneath).”
This explanation from Ajmal made Kohli, Yuvraj Singh and Azhar Ali burst in laughter. Pakistan won the CLT2017 after beating India in the final.
