Explosive Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan turned 32 today and warm birthday wishes poured in from the cricket fraternity.

From the International Cricket Council (ICC) to veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh, all took to their official Twitter handles to wish the opening batsman a very `Happy Birthday`.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) described Dhawan as Team India's Gabbar while extending their warm wishes on the batsman's special occasion. BCCI also posted a video of Dhawan celebrating with team-mates. 

"Here's wishing #TeamIndia's Gabbar @SDhawan25 a very happy birthday #HappyBirthdayGabbar," the BCCI wrote.

The ICC also wished Dhawan tweeting, "Fastest debut Test century, Highest debut Test score for India, Fastest to 3,000 ODI runs for India, India's top scorer at #CWC15 ,Top scorer at #CT13 and #CT17 ,Happy Birthday to @SDhawan25!"

Sachin Tendulkar extended his wishes. 

Indian left-handed batsman Suresh Raina also wished `Gabbar` on his birthday, saying he hopes that Dhawan went on to clinch a victory for India.

"Happy birthday to the Gabbar of #TeamIndia Bahut yaarana lagta hai hahaha! @SDhawan25. Have a great one my friend! Hope you score a 100 on your big day and take India to a win!#INDvsSL," Raina said.

Meanwhile, senior BCCI official and Indian Premier League (IPL) chairman Rajiv Shukla said, "Happy birthday @SDhawan25 Wishing a year filled with joy, peace and prosperity."

Extending his warm wishes to Dhawan, Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan tweeted, "Happy birthday brother @SDhawan25 have a great one #burraaaah."

Posting a picture of him with Dhawan, Harbhajan Singh poured his warm wishes to the Indian opener while also wishing him to continue to shine both on and off the field.

"Happy birthday to my brother @SDhawan25 lots of love brother.. keep shining on and off the field...May God bless you," Harbhajan said.

Dhawan, who is currently playing in the Indian side in an ongoing three-match Test series against the Sri Lanka, continued his rich vein of form on his birthday as he smashed a half-century to guide the hosts to a second-innings score of 246-5 declared on Day 4 of the third and final Test at the Feroze Shah Kotla ground.

The Delhi batsman, who made his debut against Australia in 2010, has amassed a total of 2,014 runs at an average of 43.78 in 28 Tests he played, while he has also notched up 3,870 at an average of 43.97 runs from 93 ODIs.
