IPL 2018 : 'Papa ko hug karna hai'- when Ziva wanted to hug MS Dhoni while he was batting

Ziva Dhoni has done it again! The adorable little daughter of Mahendra Singh Dhoni was at her cutest during her father's Indian Premier League (IPL) match on Sunday.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) lost by four runs against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), but not before MSD made his highest individual IPL score. The legendary captain put on a thrilling show, taking his team agonisingly close with an unbeaten 79 of 44.

As Mahi went about smashing the KXIP bowlers out of the park, his three-year-old daughter was busy winning hearts sitting in the stands at the PCA Stadium in Mohali.

In a video posted on Instagram by Dhoni himself, his little bundle of joy can be seen craving to give her 'papa' a big hug. Ziva is seen requesting a man to go on the field, since he was wearing a CSK jersey, and get her father immediately. "When Ziva wanted to give a hug to papa during the match," Dhoni captioned his post.

Ziva has become a fan favourite over the years. Her illustrious father often shares videos of her charming antics on social media, and fans can never get enough of them.

On Sunday, KXIP registered a narrow victory against CSK.

Dhoni, battling back pain, took the match into the last over with a blistering 79 off 44 balls. However, his valiant effort did not prove to be enough as CSK ended at 193 for five in response to KXIP's 197 for seven at the PCA Stadium in Mohali.

The Super Kings needed as many as 76 off the last 30 balls and Dhoni got his team almost over the line with an innings comprising six fours and five sixes. With 17 needing off the final over, pacer Mohit Sharma did the job for KXIP, who recorded their second win in three games this season. It was the first loss of the season for the Dhoni-led team.
