Imran Tahir got another T20 hat-trick as he dismissed three batsmen off consecutive balls in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) on Saturday. Tahir got the hat-trick for his PSL side Multan Sultans against Quetta Gladiators.

The South African wiped off Quetta's tail and become only the third bowler to earn a hat-trick in PSL history.

Tahir's IPL team Chennai Super Kings took the opportunity to congratulate him.

Tahir was quick to respond and thanked CSK for their support. He then replied to them in Tamil.

He wrote, "Thanks a lot god proposes man disposes in your language andavan solran arunachalam mudikran pls bear me Iam still learning chennai language (sic)"

Tahir had earlier said that he is trying to learn Tamil, soon after he was selected by CSK in the IPL auction.

Saturday's hat-trick took Tahir to the top of the wicket-taking charts in PSL 2018. He and Sohail Tahir took six wickets among them to bundle the Gladiators out for 102 before Kumar Sangakkara scored a free-flowing fifty to take Multan level on points (7) with table-toppers Karachi Kings in the PSL standings, although Tahir's side have played a game more than the Kings.

The 38-year-old veteran now leading the charts with 10 wickets in five matches to his name at an economy rate 7.28. The former World No.1 T20 bowler is followed by Pakistan pacer Mohammad Sami in the list of highest wicket-takers. Sami has seven wickets in four matches at an extremely impressive economy rate of 5.59.

“It’s my first hat-trick in the [region], [so obviously] I’m very pleased. It’s all [because of a great] team effort,” Tahir told Geo.tv after the conclusion of the match.
