WATCH: Hardik Pandya's emotional reunion with his father after three-month long England tour

Hardik Pandya is going through a bit of a slump in his career. After enjoying a steady run in the Indian Test team, the all-rounder was dropped for the fifth and final Test against England last week. Not just that, fans and critics came down heavily on him for not performing as per expectations.

Nevertheless, Hardik received some much-needed family time after he returned from the gruelling three-month long England tour. The 24-year-old shared a video on his official social media account, where he can be seen surprising his dad upon his return. In the video, Pandya Sr. is seen sleeping as his cricketer son wakes him up to surprise him. It's an emotional moment, with both men embracing each other warmly.

"When you surprise daddy  #seeinghimafter3months," Hardik wrote on his Instagram page along with the video.

Hardik will be seen in action once again as Team India begins its campaign in the 2018 Asia Cup in Dubai on Tuesday. The team, led by Rohit Sharma, will play Hong Kong in its opening encounter.

The marquee tie, however, will be against Pakistan the following day. Hardik may have had a quiet tour of England, but India will be banking on the talented all-rounder to come good in sub-continental conditions.
