Virat Kohli weds Anushka Sharma: Cricketers wish newly married couple

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are married. The cricketer and actor officially announced their wedding on Monday.

Virat and Anushka, or Virushka as they are known together, tied the knot at Borgo Finocchieto in Tuscany, South of Italy. The couple have dating since 2013 and been the most talked about couple in India.

Kohli and Anushka announced their marriage on their Twitter handles sharing pictures of their wedding. Expressing their love for each other they sought blessings from their fans and well-wishers.

The Indian captain tweeted a photo of their 'varmala' ceremony and captioned it, "Today we have promised each other to be bound in love for ever. We are truly blessed to share the news with you.This beautiful day will be made more special with the love and support of our family of fans & well wishers. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey."

Anushka Sharma too posted a picture of their wedding ceremony with the same message.

As soon as the news of their union came out, the cricketing fraternity took to Twitter to congratulate the newly-married couple. The well-wishers included the BCCI, Virat's teammates and former cricketers. Wishes also came all the way from Pakistan.
