Virat Kohli now has the most double centuries scored by a captain in Test cricket
Updated : Dec 03, 2017, 11:27 AM IST
India cricket captain Virat Kohli on Sunday became the first batsman to score six double centuries while leading an international side. In doing so, Kohli overtook West Indian great Brian Lara in achieving this feat.
Incidentally, all of Kohli’s double tons have come only after he took over as Test skipper, with the first coming when India had a successful tour of the Caribbean last year.
Twitter was full of praise for the Indian skipper and here are some of the reactions
Till 2016, Virat Kohli didn't have a single double century. Now he has six. Shows you that great players make a good phase really count.

6th double hundred for Virat in less than 500 days. Special players make it count and Virat Kohli is extra special. Amazing intent right from the beginning.#INDvSL

For normal mortal batsman, it's like I will practice more and do extra drills and extra effort every Sunday. For Virat Kohli, I will score a double century every Sunday. Scored one last Sunday, another one today. Kamaal Hai.#INDvSL
