The issues surrounding the coach selection for Team India, the rift between Virat Kohli and Anil Kumble, and the resignation of Committee of Administrators (COA) Ramachandra Guha have stirred the Indian cricket scene in recent times. So much that it seems like very little attention is being paid to Men in Blue's ICC Champions Trophy campaign to defend their title. But amidst all the chaos former captain and the member of BCCI's Cricket Advisory Committee Sourav Ganguly has some words of wisdom for the current skipper and head coach.

According to a report in Wisden India, Ganguly said, "Just deal with it. You’re a name, you’re captain of India, you’re coach of India, you’ll have to deal with this. Just keep quiet and play the game."

There are media reports making rounds that Ganguly had a word with squabbling Virat Kohli and Anil Kumble, he also talked with the team. But the CAC member denies them all and assures that he is there to play his part as a commentator and nothing more. "I’ve been at the ground since 8.00 am. I’m supposed to have spoken to players, spoken to Virat Kohli. I’ve not done it one bit, and neither am I keen to," Ganguly was quoted as saying after the Australia versus New Zealand match on Friday. He also asked the parties involved to follow Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo's example as the football maverick deals with controversies on daily basis.

On the home front, BCCI has received applications for the post of head coach of team India which includes one from Virender Sehwag. On the other hand, Team India is getting ready for their Champions Trophy opener against Pakistan on June 4.
