In a press conference held in Mumbai on 10 June, Yuvraj Singh announced his retirement from international cricket. He spoke to the media and said, “After a 17-year-old long journey in international cricket, I have finally decided to move on.”

"After 25 years in and around the 22 yards and almost 17 years of international cricket on and off, I have decided to move on. This game taught me how to fight, how to fall, to dust off, to get up again and move forward".

Yuvraj also shared his post-retirement plan of helping cancer patients and spreading awareness about the disease.

While fans have been having an emotional outburst hearing his retirement decision, fellow cricketers have also shared their love for the legendary sixer king.

Yuvraj last played for India in limited overs in 2017 and only played four games in this year’s Indian Premier League for Mumbai Indians.
