Lahiru Thirimanne and Dasun Shanaka have been announced as the one-day international and Twenty20 international skippers respectively for Sri Lanka's upcoming tour of Pakistan on Wednesday.
Earlier on the day, 10 Sri Lanka players declared themselves unavailable for the series over security reasons.
The announcement on Wednesday comes two days after Dimuth Karunaratne and Lasith Malinga, the incumbents, informed Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) of their unwillingness to travel to Pakistan.
Other's who decided not to play were Angelo Mathews, Niroshan Dickwella, Kusal Perera, Dhananjaya De Silva, Thisara Perera, Akila Dhananjaya, Suranga Lakmal and Dinesh Chandimal. Kusal Mendis was also unavailable for selection after suffering an injury.
The Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has announced the squads which include players with relatively lesser experience. Batsman Minod Banuka is set to make his SL debut in both ODI and T20I formats.
Bhanuka Rajapaksa, who previously played in Sri Lanka A's tour of India in June, was also included in the T20I squad.
