T10 League: Jonny Bairstow signs short-term deal with Kerala Knights

T10 League side Kerala Knights have boosted their strength with the addition of Jonny Bairstow. The England wicketkeeper batsman will join for Kerala Knights for the remaining matches of the T10 League 2018 having signed a short-term deal with the franchise.
 
Bairstow will be join teammates Tom Curran and Eoin Morgan, who is the captain of the side, along with the West Indies due of Chris Gayle and Kieron Pollard.

The Knights have played four games in the tournament so far in which they have won one and lost two, while one game was washed out. The Knights began their campaign with an eight-wicket win against Pakhtoons before losing to Sindhis to nine wickets. The game against Rajputs was washed out after only nine overs were bowled where the Knights bowled, whereas they took a 36-run defeat at the hands of Punjabi Legends on Monday.

The Knights are defending champions, who won the title last year as Kerala Kings. 

According to ESPNcricinfo, Bairstow will be available to play the remaining two playoff matches for the Knights against Northern Warriors on Thursday and Bengal Tigers on Friday. 

England beat Sri Lanka in the third Test at the SSC to wrap up a 3-0 sweep. Bairstow scored 110 in the first innings of the third Test and was declared the Player of the Match.
