Northern Warriors are through to the final of T10 League 2018. They took the long route to the final after losing to Pakhtoons in the semifinal 1. However, their stars returned to form in time to clinch a re-match after comprehensively beating Maratha Arabians.

Northern Warriors have been one of the most dominant sides in the second edition of T10 League. They topped group 'B' winning two out of three matches and then won 5 out of six playoff matches to finish top of the qualifier table.

ZEE5, the global digital entertainment platform from Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited recently launched across 190+ countries, are the title sponsors of the Northern Warriors in the second season of the T10 Cricket League. Northern Warriors is one of the three new teams that made their debut in this season of the T10 Cricket League.

Warriors' success is largely thanks to the Windies firepower in their ranks. The team is captained by Daren Sammy and features Carribean players like Andre Russell, Nicholas Pooran, Dwayne Smith, Rovman Powell, Lendl Simmons etc.

These stars have lit up the T10 League 2018 with some memorable performances. However, the best example of their power hitting was against Punjabi Legends where they posted 183 runs in 10 overs to record the highest ever total in T10 cricket.

In that match, Nochols Pooran scored 77 off 25 deliveries, Lendl Simmons hit 36 off 21 balls, Andre Russell smacked six sixes in his innings of 38 and Rovman Powell hit 21 off 5 balls.

Pooran is leading the scoring charts in T10 League 2018 followed by another West Indies' batsman Andre Fletcher who plays for the other finallist Pakhtoons.

For other teams, West Indies players like Sunil Narine, Dwyane Bravo, Evin Lewis and Carlos Braithwaite have played match winning innings.

West Indies players have proved their worth in T20 cricket with their great showing in Indian Premier League, Big Bash League, Pakistan Super League and Carribean Premier League. Now it seems they are ruling the shortest format of T10 cricket too.
