Fast-bowler Rajneesh Gurbani, the star of the Vidarbha campaign, was rightly declared the Man of the Match in the final for his eight wickets - including a six-for in the all-important first innings.
Twitter was delighted to witness another underdog fairy-tale. Wishes poured in for the Vidarbha team thick and fast as soon as they won the title.

Rajasthan did it earlier. Vidarbha has proved it again....that if the administrators really want to turnaround a team’s fortunes, they surely can. Lesson for the rest. #RanjiTrophy
