Rahul Dravid isn't just 'Indiranagar ka Gunda' but also 'India ka Gunda', says Deepak Chahar

Earlier this year, during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, the fans got to witness the other side of former Indian batsman Rahul Dravid, who is known to be reserved and calm. Dravid turned 'Indiranagar ka Gunda' for an ad campaign for credit cards-bill paying app.

Dravid shocked and surprised and created a frenzy on social media with this avatar and since then there have been several reactions in terms of memes, jokes and references from this ad. After which, Dravid also was given the nickname 'Indiranagar ka Gunda'.

But according to Deepak Chahar, Dravid is entire India's Gunda. Chahar, who played an exceptional knock of 69* runs off 82 balls and played a major role in his side's win in the second ODI against Sri Lanka, has become the talk of the town since.

After the game, Chahar as well as Dravid, who is Team India's coach for the Sri Lanka tour, received heaps of praises as India took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the ongoing three-match ODI series.

Chahar, who attended the press conference before the final game of the series had an absolute blast as he referred to Dravid as 'Indiranagar ka Gunda' but gave him another nickname.

"Rahul Dravid sir sirf Indiranagar ka gunda nahi hai pure India k bann gaye hai (Rahul Dravid isn't just gunda of Indiranagar, he has become gunda of entire India)," Chahar said in the pre-match presser and burst into laughter immediately.

India will be looking for a whitewash by winning the third and the final ODI to be played in Colombo on Friday, July 23.
