India and South Africa played out an intense third and final T20 on Saturday.

Batting first, India managed 172/7 in their quota of 20 overs. This was achieved largely due to healthy contributions from Shikhar Dhawan and Suresh Raina.

Chasing what was a slightly below par score at the Newlands cricket ground in Cape Town, the hosts never got going with the bat. With the entire Indian attack bowling in tandem, the Proteas crawled to 79 for 3 after 13 overs.

However, that's when a rather interesting incident occurred out in the middle. And once again, it was Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the thick of the action.

Raina was given the duty of bowling the 14th over of the South African innings. After being slapped for a four towards the deep square leg boundary on the fourth ball of the over by debutant Christiaan Jonker, Raina received some crucial advise from behind the stumps by Dhoni.

"Dande pe tez mat daalna. Dande pe tez mat daalna. Dande pe tez mat daalna (Don't fire it straight into the stumps. Don't fire it straight into the stumps. Don't fire it straight into the stumps)," Dhoni yelled loud and clear.

Now, one fascinating aspect about this tour of India to South Africa has been the crystal clear audibility from the stumps mics. Like in the last game, when MSD brought high-flying Manish Pandey back to earth by using a loaded expletive. Viewers have been treated to some great insight into the minds of the cricketers by constantly getting to hear what they're discussing out in the middle.

Coming back to Saturday's game, Dhoni made it clear to Raina, and to all the viewers watching from around the world, that he didn't want the fifth ball of the 14th over to be darted into the stumps.

But what did Raina do? Yes, he did the exact opposite to what his former India, and current CSK, skipper asked him to do. He fired the ball into Jonker's pad and got smacked for four in an identical fashion to the previous ball.

Unlike Manish Pandey, Raina wasn't at the receiving end of the 'B' word from Dhoni, but 'Captain Cool' couldn't help but his flap his hands in utter frustration.

Earlier, South Africa skipper JP Duminy won the toss and elected to bowl against India in the final T20. India were forced to leave out Virat Kohli, who has stiff back and he has been replaced by Dinesh Karthik. India brought back paceman Jasprit Bumrah, leaving out Jaydev Unadkat. The visitors have also dropped Yuzvendra Chahal and replaced him with left-arm spinner Axar Patel.

South Africa also made two changes as they replaced JJ Smuts and Dane Patterson with Christiaan Jonker, who will make his debut, and Aaron Phangiso.
