Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik suffered delayed concussion during the fourth ODI against New Zealand in Hamilton on Tuesday.

Updating about his condition, Malik assured his fans that he is now feeling great.

Taking to his Twitter handle, Malik made lite of the situation worrying about the 'critical condition' of the call that hit him. He thanked everyone for their wishes and duas.

Malik was batting without a helmet during the match because New Zealand spinners were in charge of the bowling at the time.

In the 32nd over, Malik attempted to steal a single when the ball thrown by Kiwis' Colin Munro hit him bang on the back of his unprotected head and ricocheted to a boundary.

Malik was treated on the ground for several minutes before he was dismissed three balls later. He did not return for second innings on account of delayed concussion.

According to an ESPN Cricinfo report, the Pakistan team physiotherapist VB Singh said, "Shoaib was assessed by the match doctor and myself. He did not have any symptoms of a concussion and was able to carry on playing. After getting out, he was reassessed and was showing delayed concussion signs. He is doing well and is resting."
