Indian tennis star Sania Mirza was reportedly subject to eve-teasing by Bangladesh cricketer Sabbir Rahman, reports claimed quoting a complaint filed by her cricketer-husband Shoaib Malik.

According to reports in Bangladeshi media, Shoaib Malik wrote an official complaint to the chairman of Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM). The reports said that the incident took place four years ago when the Indian-Pakistani couple were in Bangladesh.

The reports said that Malik had claimed that Sabbir teased Sania on the field during a match.

Shoaib Malik had come to Bangladesh along with Sania to participate in a domestic tournament in Dhaka  and the incident occurred during that tournament.

Sabbir teased the tennis star Sania Mirza on the field where she had come to encourage her husband.

Rahman has been one of the most controversial Bangladeshi players in recent times for his off-field behaviours.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board on Saturday (September 1) handed Sabbir Rahman a six-month ban from international cricket for his repeated off-field issues, the latest being his social network fiasco where he was alleged to have abused and threatened a fan on Facebook.

He was also fined by the board during the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) for bringing a woman into the team hotel without any permission from the authority.

The right-hander has already lost his central contract. He has also been axed from the national team due to his lack of form and other controversies and will not feature in the Asia Cup next month.
