Even though he's mostly remembered for batting with the 'Spartan' or the 'Reebok' logoed bat early in his career, but during the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
During the last two matches against Bangladesh and England, MSD was seen coming in for batting with his SG bat. But, in the later half of his innings, Dhoni in numerious cases switched to his BAS bat when he was required to go for some big shots.
According to numerous reports, friends and sources close to the player, who is presently heavily criticized for his slow knocks, MSD is opting to play with different company bats as a goodwill gesture and is not charging any amount of cash for it.
“It’s a fact that he has been using different bats with different brandings, but he is not charging them. He wants to say thank to them for helping in various stages of his career. Dhoni has a big heart. He does not need money, he has enough of it, he is using those bats as a goodwill gesture. BAS was with him from the beginning and SG also was very helpful to him,” Dhoni’s manager Arun Pandey said.
Usually, the former Indian capatain apparently charges around Rs 10-15 lakh per match for playing with a particular brand bat.
