Mumbai on Monday announced that they have recalled right-handed batsman Arman Jaffer for their upcoming Ranji Trophy fixture against Gujarat.

The match will be played at the Wankhede Stadium from Wednesday.

Twenty-year-old Armaan, who has earlier played three First-Class matches for Mumbai in 2016, is the nephew of former India player and domestic stalwart Wasim Jaffer.

Arman first attracted the limelight as a 13-year-old when he broke the record for the highest individual score in Indian school cricket in 2010. He smashed 498 for Rizvi Springfield School against IES Raja Shivaji School in the

Under-14 Giles Shield tournament, and surpassed Sarfaraz Khan's record of 439.

Earlier this month, Armaan hammered an unbeaten triple century for U-23 Mumbai side in Col C K Nayudu Trophy match against Saurashtra, finishing on 300 runs off 367-balls. The knock was inclusive of 26 fours and 10 sixes.

Meanwhile, the Mumbai team, led by fast bowler Dhawal Kulkarni, also included the regular members like Akhil Herwadkar, Siddesh Lad, Jay Bista and former captain and wicketkeeper-batsman Aditya Tare.

Medium-pacers Akash Parkar, Tushar Deshpande, spinner Karsh Kothari and all-rounder Shivam Dube have also been named in the 14-member squad.

However, Mumbai's key batsman Shreyas Iyer will not be available for the Ranji fixture against Gujarat as he is part of the India A ODI squad that will play three games against New Zealand A in New Zealand.

Mumbai have played two Ranji Trophy matches so far this season and both the games ended in a draw.
