While Guha's words have struck a chord with many, there are also a number of questions raised regarding the points made by the noted historian.

A day after resigning from the Committee of Administrators (CoA), historian Ramachandra Guha on Friday lashed out at the Supreme Court-appointed committee for being a silent spectator on issues like conflict of interest, the alleged rift between Indian captain Virat Kohli and head coach Anil Kumble and treating domestic players at par.
In a strongly worded letter to chairman Vinod Rai, Guha listed the precise reasons that led to his resignation in just five months of the CoA's formation. While Guha's words did strike a chord with many, there were also a number of questions raised regarding the points made by the noted historian.
I wonder if @Ram_Guha would writ a book for free? pic.twitter.com/mI0FIwfOIV

Ramachandra Guha quits BCCI after Ashish Nehru is not selected for Champions Trophy.

Ramachandra Guha ji says he resigned from BCCI.. bcz the Laathis which Indian batsmen using to bat are different from Lathi of Gandhi ji.

Justice Markandey Katju and Historian Ramachandra Guha can now be best friends forever :D#ardentfan #bff #ballsofsteel

Hats off to Ramchandra Guha for pointing out the rot in #BCCI!!!

Guha hates MSD getting grade A contract as he doesn't play tests
— cricBC (@cricBC) June 2, 2017
Guha is mum on Pujara, Vijay who have grade A contracts and don't play ODI
Pujara and Vijay have not made themselves unavailable for ODIs. They aren't selected. There is a difference between the two
— Abhimanyu (@MadCrazyHatter_) June 2, 2017
It doesn't matter. Pujara doesn't have to make himself unavailable. He won't play an ODI for India until hell freezes over. https://t.co/ZLxGdMVzw2

Yuvraj hasn't opted out of test cricket either. But he gets a grade B contract for his contributions as a limited over specialist.

Team's anger with Kumble rooted in a Bangalore cabal, run by a local lawyer, "running" CoA/BCCI. Dumped poor Kohli in his brain-fade fight
— Shekhar Gupta (@ShekharGupta) June 2, 2017
Silly of CoA to say players have no say in choice of coach. Not when its own committee members, Sachin & Sourav had turfed Greg Chappell out
— Shekhar Gupta (@ShekharGupta) June 2, 2017
While Guha's points about Conflict of Interest, player fees and running of state boards are right, they won't be fixed by writing letters.
— cricBC (@cricBC) June 2, 2017
That's why you don't appoint bureaucrats and historians where you need an administrator. Best they can do is point fingers and run away.
— cricBC (@cricBC) June 2, 2017
SC fired BCCI brass for failing to adopt Lodha reforms by Oct '16. Its CoA is in 5th month. Is it to implement reform or run cricket forever
— Shekhar Gupta (@ShekharGupta) June 2, 2017
Painting picture of a theoretical utopia is easy. Getting your hands dirty and actually doing it is far more tricky.
— cricBC (@cricBC) June 2, 2017
Academicians, philosophers, theoretical scientists make ideal world assumptions. Engineers, administrators get things done in real world.

It's fair to say Dravid shouldn't coach DD and India A/U19 both. But if you force his hand, he leaves his the India position.
— cricBC (@cricBC) June 2, 2017
Would you rather have Dravid running India A for 10 months a year or Dodda Ganesh running it for 12 months.
— cricBC (@cricBC) June 2, 2017
Guha refers to Dravid's IPL stint as moonlighting. Modern tech companies allow top engineers to moonlight as an employee retention policy.
— cricBC (@cricBC) June 2, 2017
As do even govt-owned IITs which allow professors to take up private projects. In modern sport, national and club loyalties go in parallel https://t.co/mFxWIjTp0n
— Shekhar Gupta (@ShekharGupta) June 2, 2017
This isn't really a reflection on Guha's ability. He was never an administrator. Just a terrible mistake on Lodha's part to appoint him.
— cricBC (@cricBC) June 2, 2017
Historian Ramachandra Guha should be replaced with another historian in the BCCI. I propose @TrueIndology as the candidate.
— Rahul Roushan (@rahulroushan) June 1, 2017
Entirely agree with @Ram_Guha that @anilkumble1074 issue badly mishandled. My choice to replace Guha on committee would be Kumble!!
— Rajdeep Sardesai (@sardesairajdeep) June 2, 2017
Honest of @Ram_Guha to disclose he wanted Javagal Srinath added to CoA. Would've made Karnataka/Bengaluru takeover of cricket complete
— Shekhar Gupta (@ShekharGupta) June 2, 2017
I have always respected @Ram_Guha. After this letter I respect him even more https://t.co/RnEGvFLHCr
