The RCA executive to have met earlier this week has expanded associations committee constituted to deal stadium issue and the committee jumped to action on the next day.
The Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) is trying to win back the lost grounds of SMS stadium. The internal disputes at the association has caused the previous state government takes away the control of SMS stadium in Jaipur from Rajasthan Cricket Association nearly a year ago. In the change of circumstances, the RCA is holding talks with the administration on the issue.
“The issue of a memorandum of understanding and outstanding dues to sports council has been put to action, the committee appointed by the Rajasthan Cricket Association executive has met officials of sports council on the matters,” said an RCA official.

In the procedure, RCA has apparently sidelined the association secretary Rajendra Singh Nandu. The RCA secretary is on vacation to Chennai and the executive meet and subsequent procedures advance out of his knowledge.
A staunch opponent of RCA president CP Joshi, Nandu has come to place a severe challenge for Joshi since RCA elections last year. Joshi, despite being a seasoned politician, was on little disadvantage as his party Congress was in opposition in the state. In the period, the Rajasthan Cricket Association lost its stadium, their office got locked and the executive dissolved by the cooperative registrar. However, coinciding with the change in governance, the executive is once again restored in power and the dissent factions stand inconclusive.
The RCA executive to have met sans the secretary has decided on several measures and while gaining control of SMS ground was one of them, there was also a decision on gaining complete hold of the Rajasthan Cricket Association office. An 11-member committee has been extended the responsibility of replacing the old locks and hand over the keys in the responsibility of selected officers.
