Rohit Sharma-led Indian team clean swept the West Indies 3-0 in the recently ended Twenty20 International (T20I) series.

The win in Chennai in the final match turned out to be Rohit's 11th win in 12 T20I games and that is a world record as no captain in the world has as many T20I wins as Rohit.

The Mumbai cricketer also became the first Indian captain to win two T20I series by a margin of 3-0, a feat which eluded former Indian captain MS Dhoni and still eludes current full-time Indian captain Virat Kohli.

Apart from brilliant captaincy, Rohit was at his best even with the willow. He edged Colin Munro when he scored a record fourth T20I ton and he also surpassed Munro's countryman Martin Guptill to become the leading run-scorer (2,207 runs) in the shortest format.

Rohit's next challenge coming up is the big series against Australia Down Under starting later this month. After missing out on Test series against Afghanistan, England and West Indies, Rohit has finally been roped in the Test squad for the four-match Border Gavaskar Trophy and the right-handed batsman is looking forward to representing India in the whites on the Australian soils.

"We have the T20Is and practice games before the first Test match. I am not thinking about the Test match. All I am thinking of is going back, taking a few days off, and take the flight to Australia. We will have enough time to think about the Test match after that.

If I try and stay in present, it works for me. Test matches are something I was looking forward to for a long time, It will be nice to go out there and play a Test match for India,” Rohit recently said in an interview.

India and Australia are set to play a full-fledged series including three T20Is, four Tests and three One-Day Internationals (ODIs). The T20I series is scheduled to begin from November 21 and the matches will be played at Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney. The Tests will follow at Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne and Sydney before they switch to the 50-over format and the matches will take place at Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne.
