Former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is always in the headlines and today is nothing new. From speculations of him retiring from international cricket to numerous reports of him, not in consideration of being selected for the national side.

According to the recent reports now, Star Sports have approached the newly elected Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Sourav Ganguly with a plan where all former Team India skippers would be invited to commentate during the first two days of the Kolkata day-night Test match which means MS Dhoni will also be in the booth for the game.

"Invite India Test captains for Day 1 & 2 of the Test. All captains at the ground along with (Virat) Kohli and the rest of the team as well as the dignitaries line up for the anthem," reads the plan accessed by IANS in a mail.

"Captains appear on commentary as guests through the day to re-collect their favourite moments from India's Test history. Down memory lane segments recorded with individual captains are played on the big screen at the ground in breaks Day 4 onwards."

According to the reports, the organizers are also trying to formulate all the top heads to remember the famous 2001 Test win over Australia on Day 3 for a post-lunch show.

"V.V.S. Laxman, Sourav Ganguly, Harbhajan Singh, Anil Kumble (?) and Rahul Dravid (?) re-live the Test match (2001). Segments aired on the big screen," the plan further reads.

However, there are still questions about Dravid and Kumble's inclusion in the show due to them not making them available for when the documentation was filed on Saturday.

"Free entry to watch India practice on Friday (B & L block). Live coverage of the practice session on Star. Crowd interaction with legends. Crowd interactions with select India players (at the end of the session)," the mail reads.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) recently agreed on terms to play the second Test match against India at Eden Gardens as a day-night match.

The 'Bengal Tigers' are on their India tour for three T20Is and two Test matches, which started from November 3 and the second Test between the two nations is set to be played under lights.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) sent a request to the BCB to make the day-night Test match at Kolkata's Eden Gardens and it's finally been approved.

This is the first time both teams will be playing a day-night Test match ever too.
