Pictures of MS Dhoni at a petrol pump surfaced on social media.

The opposition parties has called a Bharat Bandh on Monday to protest against the rising fuel prices. The nationwide strike and protests impacted many states and there were reports of violence from some areas too.
However, during the protests, some pictures of MS Dhoni reportedly taking part in the Bandh started appearing on social media. These pictures showed the former Indian captain and his wife Sakshi sitting at a petrol pump with some friends.
It was claimed by some social media users that these pictures showed Dhoni joining the protest against the rise in petrol and diesel prices.

However, according to a report on the The Times of India website, Dhoni did not participate in any such protest. The photos that are being posted on social media are from his recent trip to Shimla in the month of August, said the report.
Dhoni, who is retired from Test cricket, is currently enjoying his time off with India playing a test series against England.
However, Dhoni will return to Team India for Asia Cup 2018 which will be played from September 15 in UAE.
