Mohammed Shami has vehemently denied allegations of match-fixing made by his wife Hasin Jahan. The Team India fast bowler said that he would rather die than do something like this.

He said, "As far as the allegation of compromising my performance playing for the country is concerned, I  would rather die than do something like this."

A day after accusing him of having extra-marital affairs, Jahan had also accused Shami of match-fixing. According to Jahan, the Bengal pacer took money from a Pakistani woman named Alishba under the influence of England-based businessman Mohammed Bhai.

“If Mohammed Shami can cheat me then he can cheat the country as well. He accepted money from a Pakistani girl named Alisbah in Dubai. He agreed to accept it on the insistence of England-based Mohammed Bhai. I have proof,” Jahan told a TV channel.

When told about Shami reacting to her allegations as a conspiracy against him, Hasin said, "Shami is the one who is a liar. I feel there's a conspiracy from Shami's end. Or it could also be a conspiracy from Pakistan."

Hasin explained, "Alishba is a girl who lives in Karachi in Pakistan. Shami calls her, books a room for her, has relations with her. Then Shami tells that Alishba also gave him money. Mohammad Bhai, who stays in UK, got money delivered through Alishba to Shami. "

Hasin also questioned Shami's intention of receiving money from Alishba despite being paid by BCCI annually.

"I have a recording with me where Shami said that he took money," she claimed.

Shami, however, remained calm about the issue and said he'll discuss it with his in-laws.

“Hasin (wife) and her family have been saying that we will sit and talk out all issues, but I don't know who has been misleading her. As far as allegation of compromising my performance playing for the country is concerned, I would rather die than do something like this,” he told ANI.

Earlier, Jahan filed a complaint against the Indian pacer in Kolkata. The complaint has been filed in the Lalbazar police station. The police complaint was filed a day after she accused him of infidelity and domestic violence.

According to TOI, Hasin Jahan met senior cops in her lawyer's presence on Wednesday.

The move came after she had posted a series of screenshots on Facebook, claiming that they were proof of Shami's conversations with other women. She has also posted pictures of some women, claiming them to be Shami's girlfriends.

Jahan alleged that Shami had relations with many women in cities like Nagpur, Indore, Bangalore and Pune.

Her Facebook account has been deactivated now.
