The Yo-Yo test has become the fitness benchmark for the Indian players in recent times. Players need to clear the test to make it to the national side. Ambati Rayudu, Sanju Samson and Mohammed Shami were recently dropped from the Indian test, India A and Indian ODI squad ahead of UK tour for failing the test.

While there is still a debate going on about the test, many domestic players are also taking the Yo-Yo test to be ready and fit enough for future call-ups.

Himachal Pradesh and Kings XI Punjab player Mayank Dagar recently cleared the Yo-Yo fitness test. Dagar, who was picked by KXIP in this year's IPL auction, cleared the test with reportedly one of the best scores by any Indian player.

According to an Instagram story shared by the Dagar, he scored 19.3 in the Yo-Yo test.

It is mandatory to score 16.1 in the test to clear the test. Last year Virat Kohli and Manish Pandey were the top scorers in test. While the Indian captain managed to score 19, Pandey trumped him with 19.2. It seems Dagar has gone past all these stars as his yo-yo test score reads 19.3.

21-year-old Dagar, who is the nephew of former India opener Virender Sehwag, is a classical left-arm offspinner. Dagar was a key member of the India Under-19 World Cup squad in 2016. He was India’s second-highest wicket-taker in the tournament.
