India's seven-wicket win over the West Indies on Sunday in Chennai was stand-in-skipper Rohit Sharma's 11th win in 12 Twenty20 International (T20I) games and that is a world record for the Mumbai cricketer.

No captain in the world has as many T20I wins as Rohit and he also became the first Indian captain to win two T20I series by a margin of 3-0, a feat which eluded former Indian captain MS Dhoni and still eludes current full-time Indian captain Virat Kohli

Last year in Sri Lanka, under Rohit's captaincy, India had clean-swept the hosts 3-0 in the T20I series.

Rohit's record as the limited-overs captain has been phenomenal as he recently led India to a triumph in the Asia Cup as well,  by beating Bangladesh in the final in Dubai.

With a win over the Windies, India have equalled Afghanistan's record of most 3-0 series wins in T20Is (three). However, India's arch-rivals Pakistan still hold the record for the most number of 3-0 wins in the shortest format with as many as five series wins.

Meanwhile, even as an individual batsman, Rohit had a great series as he became the highest run-getter in T20Is for India overtaking Kohli. He now has 2,207 runs in 88 T20Is at an average of over 33. He finished the series with 121 runs in three games at a stunning average of 60.50.
