Chinaman Kuldeep Yadav picked up a five-wicket haul in his maiden Test on the Australian soil, helping India enforce the follow-on after the hosts were bowled out for 300 on Day four of the fourth and final Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on Sunday.

While it was his first five-for in an overseas Test, it was Kuldeep's overall second five-wicket haul.

The Australian spin legend Shane Warne, who has praised Kuldeep on quite a few occasions, was spotted prior to the opening Test at the Adelaide Oval discussing spin bowling with Kuldeep. It was revealed in a video in which Warne was asking Kuldeep to keep his straight arm aligned which in turn will allow him to get more fizz in his deliveries.

Hence, it was not surprising when Kuldeep mentioned Warne after finishing the innings as India's highest wicket-taker with five scalps to his name. Kuldeep went on to call Warne his idol as he added that he was proud to bag the fifer in front of his idol.

While praising Kuldeep on social media, cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle revealed that Warne was "beaming" when Kuldeep mentioned him. "Wonderful moment when @imkuldeep18 said he was proud to take a fifer in front of his idol and in the commentary box @ShaneWarne was beaming," Bhogle tweeted.

Later on, Warne posted a couple of pictures with Kuldeep from the Indian Premier League and praised the chinaman bowler once again.

"Well bowled & congrats on your 5 wicket haul @imkuldeep18 also, thank you for your very kind words - it’s been a pleasure to work with you & watch you bowl my friend!" Warne tweeted.

After the follow-on was enforced, the Australians played six overs before bad light forced an early tea as umpires took players off the field with eight minutes remaining in the belated session with Marcus Harris (2) and Usman Khawaja (4) the unbeaten batsmen in the second innings.
