The second unofficial one day international between India A and South Africa A in Thiruvananthapuram got interrupted by rain, as the clash between the two nations was cut short to 21 overs.

Upon winning the toss, India A's skipper Manish Pandey opted to bowl first.

Both the South African openers departed early on with Malan being run out for 6 runs and Reeza Hendricks getting dismissed for just one run.

Temba Bavuma (40), Khaya Zondo (24), and Heinrich Klassen (31) tried to form a partnership to ship South Africa A towards healthy total from 75/4.

George Linde brilliant unbeaten knock of 52 in 25 balls with 5 sixes and 1 four, helped his side ultimately reach a final score of 162/5 in 21 overs.

On the chase, India A got off to a bad start, losing Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shubman Gill early on meant the pressure was mounting on the Men in Blue side.

Manish Pandey came into the attack but was also dismissed for 13 runs.

But it was Ishan Kishan's world-class knock of 55 in 24 deliveries which helped his side to see off the target score. India A defeated South Africa A by two wickets on the day to secure a 2-0 lead in the five-match series.

The South African bowlers were particular well as well with Junior Dala picking up 2 wickets for his troubles and giving away just 25 runs.
