Sunrisers Hyderabad thrashed Royal Challengers Bangalore by 118 runs to register their second victory in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on on Sunday.

Jonny Bairstow and David Warner knocked up centuries and stitched a 185-run partnership, highest opening stand ever in the IPL history, to help SRH reach 231 for 2 in 20 overs.

Chasing a ginormous target of 232, RCB lost six wickets for just 36 runs. Colin de Grandhomme and the youngest player ever to feature in IPL, Prayas Ray Barman, helped Bangalore save a little face as they stitched a 51 runs partnership.

Colin de Grandhomme (37) was the highest scorer for RCB. However, he got out in one of the most comical manners possible.

The incident took place in the 19th over of the match as Vijay Shankar bowled to Mohd Siraj with Colin de Grandhomme at the other end. The ball was declared a no-ball by the Umpire. Meanwhile, Siraj sent the ball towards short cover and went for the run. Colin de Grandhomme too started for the run but decided to come back leaving Siraj stranded in the middle. The fielder sent the ball to Shankar who removes the bails at non-striker end and then sent the ball to the keeper who run Siraj out at the other end.

It meant two batsmen were run out off a no-ball. In the replay, it was clear that Colin de Grandhomme had not grounded his bat when Shankar removed the bails and thus he had to go back.
