IPL 2019 Auction: The Indian Premier League 2019 player auction is set to get bigger. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) seems to be targetting bigger viewership and revenue with a new time slot for IPL season 12 player auction.

While the auctions used to start from 10 am in the morning for the past editions, it is expected to start at 3 pm this year to maximise primetime viewership, according to a report in Mumbai Mirror.

The IPL 2019 auction will be held on December 18, said the report. The auction is expected to start at 3 PM and will end by 9:30 pm. The date has been strategically planned as December 18 is the day of the final day of the second Test between India and Australia at Perth. The auctions will take place in Jaipur this year.
