IPL 2018: Watch- Chris Gayle 'becomes' the cake on KL Rahul's birthday

They say you can't have your cake and eat it too. But Kings XI Punjab (KIXP) batsman KL Rahul can have his cake and take it to open the innings with him. Literally. 

Kings XI Punjab batsman KL Rahul celebrated his birthday on April 18. The Karnataka batsman turned 26 on Thursday. 

He has been a very good IPL 2018 so far scoring 135 runs in the three matches so far. This includes the fastest-ever IPL half century in just 14 balls. 

Punjab players celebrated Rahul's birthday on Thursday with style. The birthday boy was surprised by a very special cake on the day- in form of his opening partner Chris Gayle. The West Indies batsman presented himself as the cake. 

Chris Gayle presented himself as Rahul’s cake, surrounded by fruits all around. The celebrations took place inside the KXIP dressing room. Yuvraj Singh and other players can be heard having a good laugh and fun at Gayle's innovation. 

KL Rahul who looked surprised at his special cake was also enjoying the occasion. He can be seen picking up the fruits from the 'cake'. Needless to say, it was Gayle who was having the most fun, basking in all the attention he was getting.
