Mumbai Indians (MI) kept their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 Play-Off hopes alive with a thrilling victory over Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) on Wednesday. The defending champions won by three runs at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai to climb to fourth position in the points table with 12 points.
The star performances for Rohit Sharma's team came from Jasprit Bumrah and Kieron Pollard. While the West Indian rescued his side from a tight spot with a quick-fire half-century, the star Indian pacer picked up three key wickets in a devastating spell. Kings XI opener KL Rahul made a valiant 94 but fell in the penultimate over of the match.
On Thursday, Virat Kohli's Royal Challengers Bangalore face table-toppers Sunrisers Hyderabad with all eyes on the two remaining Play-Off spots.
