Hyderabad and Rajasthan will have to overcome the unexpected loss of their respective captains, David Warner and Steve Smith, when the two teams clash in the IPL 2018 on Monday. Rain could play spoilsport as Hyderabad had been hit by a hailstorm and heavy showers on Saturday.
Here's what happened at the match:
23:05
Hyderabad beat Rajasthan by 9 wickets.
A blockbuster start to the season for Hyderabad, clinical and dominating as it gets. Firstly, their bowlers with a disciplined effort restricted the opposition to a scanty 125 and then when they came out to bat, it was Shikhar Dhawan who just stole the show. He was dropped on 0 by Ajinkya Rahane and boy, he made them pay big time as he just tore them apart. Not sure if that dropped chance would have made much of a difference but at least the mockery that the southpaw made, wouldn't have been the

Hyderabad- 50 partnership between Dhawan and Williamson.
Kane Williamson was taken at mid-on but that was free hit. Williamson then brings Dhawan on stike who then hits a couple of fours to make a bad over even worse for Laughlin.

Not a great IPL debut for D'Arcy Short. He is run out for just 4. Williamson picks it up from mid off and throws it on the stumps. Short is caught short (had to make that pun).

Playing Billy Stanlake is an aggressive bowling option for @SunRisers but it means leaving out Nabi for Pathan and maybe a bowling option short. Pathan or Hooda might have to pitch in
