Cricketainment of Indian Premier League is fun to look at but it also saw a brutal side to it when a throw by Hardik Pandya landed on the face of Mumbai Indian's wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan.

The 19-year-old left-handed batsman and wicketkeeper plays for Jharkhand in domestic cricket and in IPL 11 auctions was picked by Mumbai Indian.

In the face-off against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Tuesday, Bumrah bowled to Virat Kohli in the 12th over and the RCB captain pulled it uppishly to sneak a single.

Hardik Pandya picked up the ball and threw it towards Ishan when Sarfaraz Khan was running towards the wicket.

Ishan wasn't wearing a helmet at the time and that ball hit him directly on the right eye. Serious pain caused by the hit had Ishan reeling in the field.

A physio was called to take look at his swollen right eye. The crowd at Wankhede cheered the young cricketer as he walked off on his feet. 

Rohit Sharma then handed the gloves to Mumbaikar Aditya Tare.

Earlier in their innings, Mumbai Indians made a grand recovery from a shock start through sparkling half-centuries from captain Rohit Sharma and Evin Lewis to post a formidable 213 for six against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
