Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh and wife Geeta Basra had announced second pregnancy in March this year.
Actor and wife of former Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh's wife, Geeta Basra took to Instagram to share beautiful pictures from her surprise baby shower thrown to her by her friends. Geeta also revealed that husband Harbhajan was their accomplice in planning and setting the whole thing up.
In March this year, Harbhajan and Geeta announced their second pregnancy saying, "Coming Soon, July 2021," with their daughter Hinaya Heer wearing, 'soon to be big sister' T-shirt.
In the pictures, Geeta Basra was seen wearing a blue Bardot dress with a polka-dot design. The whole room was decorated with pink and blue balloons while she posed for pictures in front of giant wooden letters spelling 'B A B Y' filled with balloons. While Harbhajan was dressed in a navy blue long-sleeved T-shirt with cargo pants and a cap.
Captioning the pictures, Geeta wrote, "My girls are the best! What a beautiful and sweetest virtual baby shower surprise! Don’t know what I would do without you all but you all made me feel so special and cheered me up.. during such times it’s when you miss each other the most of not being able to celebrate such moments together and so many special celebrations missed out on.. but you girls really out did yourselves!
"All sitting across different parts of the world thank God for digital platforms that keep us connected! Thank you my loves and I’m so blessed to have you in my life! and hubby @harbhajan3 well done on being such a good accomplice!"
The most interesting part of the shower was the cake. The cake, which had ‘Geeta’s baby shower’ written on it, had the miniatures of Harbhajan and Geeta lying in bed with Hinaya and their second (yet-to-be-born) child. Most of the guests, however, attended the event virtually, shown in the pictures shared by Geeta.
Harbhajan Singh, who has retired from international cricket, played for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the recent season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), which was suspended due to a rise in the cases of COVID-19 and will resume in September in the UAE.
