India clinched the women's T20 International series 4-0 as they thrashed Sri Lanka by 51 runs in the fifth match at the Free Trade Zone Sports Complex, Katunayake on Tuesday.

India had scored 156 runs in the first innings. They had lost their last eight wickets in 43 balls after Jemimah Rodrigues (46 in 31 balls) and Harmanpreet Kaur (63 in 38) added 75 for the third wicket. 

In response, Sri Lanka collapsed to 105 in the 18th over.

Deepti Sharma picked up both openers Yasoda Mendis and Chamari Atapattu — within ten balls. Siriwardene then smashed three fours in her 18-ball 22 before getting bowled to Radha Yadav.

Anushka Sanjeewani (29) and Oshadi Ranasinghe (22) added 39 for the fourth wicket. The spinners — Sharma, Radha Yadav and Poonam Yadav shared seven wickets while three batswomen were run out. Taniya Bhatia finished with three stumpings — one each off Sharma, Radha, and Poonam.
