India were bundled out for 112 runs in the first match of the 3-ODI series against Sri Lanka in Dharamsala on Sunday. The hosts, who were invited to bat first, were in trouble from the very start losing half their side for just 16 runs. India avoided their lowest ODI total thanks to a fighting fifty from MS Dhoni, who top scored with 65 runs.

Here are some the unwanted records set by Team India during the match:

- India lost five wickets for just 16 runs - their lowest ever in ODI history. Their previous lowest was 17 against Zimbabwe in 1983 World Cup, in the famous match where Kapil Dev smashed 175 not out.

- India were 11/3 after 10 overs - their lowest in ODIs since 2001. Their previous lowest 10-over score in this period was 16 for 2 against New Zealand in Christchurch in 2003.

- India scored just 2 runs for the loss of two wickets in first five overs. Since 2001, only once have fewer runs been scored in the first five overs by any team. England were 1 for 1 against Australia at The Oval in 2001.

- Dinesh Karthik played 18 balls before being dismissed for a duck - the most by any India batsman in ODI history. The previous longest duck, in terms of balls, for India, was 17 balls by Eknath Solkar against England in 1974. Jasprit Bumrah played 15 balls for his duck.

- This is the 5th time when all of India's top-five batsmen fell into single digits in an ODI. The only other such instance for India in the last 15 years was against Pakistan in Chennai in 2012.

- The 13 runs aggregated by India's top five in this game is also their lowest ever in ODIs.

- Five Indian bastmen failed to open their account. While 4 were out for a duck, Chahal remained not out for naught.
