Former Indian Captain Rahul Dravid has turned out to be no different. When he was asked if he expected Pakistan to play better on Sunday, his reaction was epic.
“I hope not! I hope we can have another one-sided game. Let us just win it one-sided, man. Sometimes, we get too greedy. No, I just would like us to win, I don't care how!” Dravid said.
In the ongoing Asia Cup 2018 in UAE, India and Pakistan have already played each other once and unfortunately, the match was one-sided in the favour of the Indians, who sealed the match by eight wickets with an ease.
Both the teams will lock horns again in their Super Four fixture in Dubai again on Sunday and considering their close encounters in the past in the UAE, an outstanding contest is expected on the cards.
Dravid also spoke about Virat Kohli’s captaincy saying he is learning and definitely is taking the game and team forward.
“I think he is learning all the time. Captaincy is a lot about learning. There are a lot of positives, you know, what he has done. He definitely takes the game forward, he moves the game forward and he is definitely taking the team forward, no doubt about it.
But like with anything else, captaincy, a lot is dependent on the performances of the team and the kind of team you are able to put together. So, I think he keeps improving, he keeps getting better, he keeps learning and I am sure that is what he wants to do with his captaincy,” Dravid said in an exclusive interview with CNN News18.
