India vs England: Team for first three tests announced, Pant and Bumrah included

India to play five test matches against England.

The Indian team for the first three test matches have been announced by BCCI. Indian team will be desperate to win the 5 match test series after defeat in the ODI tournament. Selectors have announced an 18 member squad for the first three matches of the test series. 

Bhuvi who played the third ODI has not been included in the squad. According to BCCI communique, he aggravated lower back condition during the match, and his condition is being assessed currently. 

The squad named is Kohli (Captain), Dhawan, Rahul, Vijay, Pujara, Rahane (vice-captain), Nair, Karthik (wicket-keeper), Pant (wicket-keeper), Ashwin, Jadeja, Kuldeep, Hardik, Ishant, Shami, Umesh, Bumrah, Thakur. So India has opted for five pacers, three spinners, one fast-bowling all-rounder in Pandya. Two keepers in Dinesh Karthik and Risabh Pant have been picked as Wriddhiman Saha is still indisposed. India has opted for seven front line batters with Karun Nair making the cut. Rohit Sharma after a dismal South African test series has been dropped. 

Bumrah who was out of limited overs cricket with injury will be part of the team from the second test onwards. First test starts from 1st August.
