India will take on England in the third Test of the four-match Test series on Wednesday at the Motera Stadium, Ahmedabad. This match will be a Day-Night Test played with the Pink Ball at the world's largest cricket stadium.

The upcoming Test also has Umesh Yadav joining the squad in place of Shardul Thakur. KL Rahul too is fit to feature as well. As for England, according to their rotational policy, the side will be without the services of Moeen Ali, who'll miss out on the last two Tests of the series. Jonny Bairstow and Mark Wood, however, make a return.

Currently, the series is levelled 1-1 and with a place in the World Test Championship (WTC) final at stake for both sides, the upcoming Test match is expected to be a cracker.

India vs England Ahmedabad weather forecast

The weather in Ahmedabad is likely to be hot and sunny on all five days. The average temperature will be around 36 degrees celsius. No rain is expected on any of the days, although the heat will be testing the players.

India vs England Motera Pitch Report

The Motera Stadium has 11 clay pitches - six made of red soil and five with black soil - in the stadium. It is the first stadium to use both coloured clays for main and practice pitches.

The wicket is likely to assist the spinners but will be more suitable for India. The pink ball is said to be swinging a lot initially, and both sides will be using their swing bowlers to the maximum.
