There has not been much going right for India in the second test against England at Lord's. However, Ravichandran Ashwin has achieved a personal milestone during the match.
Ashwin became the fourth Indian to complete the international double of 3000-plus runs and 500-plus wickets.
Ashwin top scored with 29 runs in the India's first innings total of 107 on a rain-interrupted second day.
During this knock, Ashwin joined Kapil Dev in the elite all-rounder list. The list also includes the names of Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh. All four have scored 3000-plus runs and taken 500-plus wickets in international cricket.
Ashwin achieved the cricket-double milestone in his 217th international appearance. He has played a total of 60 Tests, 111 One-Day Internationals and 46 T20 Internationals scoring 2215 runs in Tests, 675 in ODIs and 123 runs in 123 runs T20Is. And in bowling, he has taken a total of 525 international wickets - 323 Test matches, 150 in ODIs and 52 wickets in T20Is.
